Christmas 2006 pictures

I'm a little behind in my picture posting, but here are some pictures from Christmas and the birthday. I can't believe my babies are two already. Where does the time go? We spent the holidays in South Texas and it was great to spend time with the familia and get some El Patio and La Conchita. The weather sucked the entire time (rainy, humid) and we all ended up getting sick. But, a good time was had nonetheless.

national geographic

On January 14, National Geographic will air a special on multiples in the womb and delve into the science of twins. It should be interesting...

Oh Christmas Tree...

Here are some pictures of the Christmas tree in the casa de Barnes:) Of course keeping Greyson and Aidan's hands off the tree is a whole other story...

Snow Day!

A couple of weeks ago, the weather here in North Texas took a turn for the rigidly cold. We got some snow flurries, sleet, icy rain, etc. Being a south Texas girl, I'm not sure yet whether I love it or hate it. Greyson and Aidan had good time outside with 'the white stuff.' Here's some pictures we took of them enjoying the wintry weather...

Halloween Pics!!

Greyson and Aidan had a wonderful Halloween. Rob and I took them trick or treating to a few houses and they made out like bandits. But, the most fun they had was helping me hand out candy to the trick or treaters who came by the house. They liked looking at the other kids costumes. Sapphire had fun too in her prisoner costume although, she didn't much care for her hat. :)

more pics...

Here a couple of pics of Greyson and Aidan being silly. One of her favorite things to do is to romp around with her brother. And a preview of Aidan in his pumpkin costume. He didn't like his hat too much... Poor boy:)

weekend

We had a great weekend in Port Lavaca. It was such a treat for us to be able to go to the Calhoun County Fair. It's been a few years since I've been able to attend so it was a great experience for me to share it with my kiddos. Friday night we got to see our old family friend Jarrod Birmingham perform. We also watched Alison do the mutton bustin'. She was so cute, she didn't cry at all and came in second! After that, we took Greyson and Aidan to the midway so they could ride some rides. Aidan was having no part of that, he is kind of scared to ride things. I'm hoping he'll grow out of it so he can start having some fun like his sister. She LOVED every ride we put her on and cried when it was time to go. She is silly:)

Saturday night Rob and I went back without the kiddos and enjoyed the food and rode some stuff. It's sad to admit, but my days of riding the Zipper and the Kamikaze are over. I pretty much stuck to the tilt a whirl, the round up, and the cliff hanger. But, I had sooo much fun. Rob is so much braver than I am, he rode the kamikaze but held on for dear life on that upside down turn. I can't wait to go back next year! I'll post some pics of the kiddos on their rides as soon as I can...
